For the evaluation of spherical impacts in Brinell hardness measurement, a microscope is required which has a measuring length of 6 mm and a graduation of 0.05 mm. The Brinell hardness measuring microscope 2010 from PEAK has these properties. The focus is adjusted by loosening a knurled clamping ring. The upper optics unit is pushed up or down until the focus point is reached. Then the clamping ring is tightened again. The focusing of the scale can be done separately at the eyepiece. The complete construction of the 2010 is made of steel. The very high quality optics of the eyepiece and objective guarantee a distortion-free image. On request, the 2010 can be supplied with an inch graduation of 0.002". An additional measuring plate in white, which can be inserted in the base of the microscope, is included with a 1 mm graduation (6 mm length).
