Professional LED Illumination Systems for Video Microscopes, Digital Microscopy and Industrial Metrology

High-quality illumination systems are a decisive factor for precise measurement results in optical metrology, industrial image processing and digital microscopy. Even the most powerful video microscope can only achieve its full potential when the illumination is optimally matched to the material, surface, geometry and inspection task. Different materials, reflective surfaces, transparent objects and extremely fine structures require specialized lighting solutions to enhance contrast, accurately display edges and avoid measurement errors. The professional illumination systems from KITOTEC have been specifically developed for demanding applications in quality control, production monitoring, electronics inspection and precision metrology.

LED ring lights are among the most frequently used incident-light illumination systems in microscopy and video metrology. They provide homogeneous, low-shadow illumination and are especially suitable for general inspection tasks, surface analysis, electronics inspection and the documentation of technical components. Models with segment switching additionally allow directional illumination, making surface structures, scratches, engravings and machining marks much more visible. High-quality ring lights with flicker-free dimming ensure constant lighting conditions for measurements as well as photo and video documentation.

LED light panels and transmitted-light illuminators are primarily used for transparent, translucent or contour-critical components. Diffuse transmitted-light systems are ideal for the visual inspection of films, plastics, glass or stamped parts. Parallel transmitted-light systems, on the other hand, are used for highly precise measurement tasks such as diameter inspection, thread measurement or the exact contour detection of rotationally symmetrical components. The nearly parallel light guidance enables significantly more precise edge detection and minimizes measurement deviations.

Flexible light guides, dual gooseneck systems and LED incident-light illuminators allow targeted illumination from different directions. These illumination types are preferred when surface structures, height differences, milling marks, cracks or material defects need to be visualized. The flexible positioning of the light source makes it possible to create targeted contrasts and clearly highlight even difficult-to-detect details.

For particularly demanding applications, DOM illumination systems, coaxial illuminators as well as UV and IR illumination systems are also available. DOM illuminations create an extremely diffuse light field and are ideal for highly reflective, glossy or polished surfaces. Coaxial illuminations are mainly used for flat metallic surfaces, printed circuit boards and extremely fine structures. UV illumination enables the visualization of fluorescent features, markings or coatings, while IR illumination supports specialized inspection and analysis processes. Thanks to the wide range of professional illumination systems, video microscopes can be optimally adapted to a broad variety of industrial measurement, inspection and documentation applications.
