No soldering is required to install this practical conversion kit. The Ni-Cad battery, charging socket, switch, and lamp socket are pre-wired and ready to install. You will need a 2 mm Allen key to open the housing, a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the switch and bulb, and needle-nose pliers to remove the charging connector socket. Please note that the charging socket has a small pin in the middle that can ONLY be used with the Color Viewer II. If your charging socket looks like a miniature headphone jack, you have a Color Viewer Model I and need the corresponding battery.
